There is nothing more fun than when the Lopes are winning and GCU Arena is rocking. The home-court advantage created by GCU students, Havocs, and fans has created an intimidating atmosphere for visiting opponents. Since GCU Arena opened in 2011-12, the Lopes are 63-15 at home!
Well Lopes fans, it's time we take this show on the road…literally! This Thursday night kicks off the debut of 'Lopes on the Road' as the GCU men's basketball team travels to Chicago, Ill. to take on the Chicago State Cougars. \
Lopes on the Road is an opportunity through GCU Alumni for current GCU students (online and traditional), alumni, faculty, parents and fans to come together and support the Lopes at a men's basketball away game. What better way to combine a trip out of town and your love for GCU basketball!
Head coach Dan Majerle's squad has risen up the ranks and ranks atop the Western Athletic Conference standings and are No. 10 in the CollegeInsider Mid-Major Top 15. Do your part to help create a sea of purple and support while the Lopes visit fellow WAC opponents.
Join us before the game for a reception at the arena with light refreshments and free swag!
After the trip to Chicago on Thursday, the next opportunity to join the Lopes on the Road will be when GCU travels to New Mexico State on Feb. 4. Be sure to RSVP at the website below by Jan. 28 to be a part of the action.
Other Lopes on the Road opportunities will be at Seattle U (Feb. 12) and CSU Bakersfield (Feb. 27). You won't want to miss out.
