Naderer Claims WAC Pitcher of the Week Honor

Junior threw seven innings of three-hit ball Friday against UW-Milwaukee
Grand Canyon University junior pitcher Andrew Naderer has been named the Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for Feb.23-March 1, as announced by the conference office.
Naderer went the distance in a 2-1 win over UW-Milwaukee on Friday, allowing just one run on three hits with nine strikeouts in a seven-inning complete game. He is 3-0 in three starts this season as the Lopes number one starter.
The Lopes will welcome Kansas to Brazell Stadium for contests on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday's game will be broadcast on Cox7 and can also be heard on KXXT 1010. First pitch on Tuesday night is slated for 7 p.m. Fans can find live links to follow the action at www.gculopes.com.
