Live StatsPHOENIX – The Grand Canyon University women's volleyball team continues their conference season this week against Utah Valley and Seattle U at home. Their match against Utah Valley will be in Antelope Gym at 6 p.m. on Thursday, and then they will take on Seattle U in GCU Arena on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Last week, GCU fell in three sets to Bakersfield.
Jordyn Sanchez, who is currently ranked sixth in kills per set (3.03) for conference matches, led the offensive effort with 12 kills and a .267 hitting percentage. She also earned eight digs, two block assists, and two service aces.
Natalie Tardy came into the game to pick up six kills off of 15 attempts and no errors.

Randahl Powers logged another 12 assists in the match, giving her a 7.09 average in conference. Libero
Haley Glass is ranked second in digs per set in both conference-only matches and overall. She tallied another 19 digs during the effort.
Scouting Utah ValleyThe Wolverines are currently second in conference, falling just behind New Mexico State in the lineup. In their match against Weber State, they were led by Abby Jenson's 16 kills. She leads the squad in kills with 209 total, averaging 2.79 per set. Sierra Starley picked up 41 assists, while Madison Dennison collected nine kills and four block assists. The team's 44 digs were spread evenly across the board with all nine players tallying at least one. Jenson and Sabrina Tanner led the field with eight digs each.
Scouting Seattle UThe Redhawks won both their matches last week over UMKC and Chicago State. They had a five set battle against Chicago State, but defeated UMKC in three. Against the 'Roos, Martina Samadan led with 17 kills and a .556 average. She also recorded two solo blocks, four block assists, and four service aces. Kerry Lane had 44 assists during the match and Iris Ivanis had 16 digs.
Against Chicago State, Matea Mamic led with 14 kills and 16 digs. She also picked up two service aces. Kirstin Schauble and Alyssa Deobler had three service aces.
