The last time that the Antelopes had a multi-draft class was in 2010, when left-handed pitcher Jeff Urlaub (30

th Round) were both selected.
"As a program, it's one of our desires to have a team that the professional community takes a look at," said head coach Andy Stankiewicz. "That these teams want to give our guys an opportunity to play is exciting for Brandon and Jorge. We extend our congratulations to them. Not many guys get a chance to play professional baseball after college, and they are now one of small percentage that has been drafted. We will see how the next couple of weeks play out, and whether they decide to sign or not, we support their decision. We would love to have them back, but we are extremely proud of this accomplishment."
Bonilla joined the team prior to the 2013 season and was an important piece of the GCU bullpen. He made 24 relief appearances in 2013, going 2-0 with a 3.38 ERA (9 ER in 24.0 IP). Bonilla struck out 29 batters and limited the opposition to a .169 batting average. He opened his 2013 campaign with 13 consecutive scoreless outings (15.0 IP) from Feb. 8-March 20, allowing just seven hits while striking out 20 during that time.
Bonilla was ineligible this past season. He was a 37
th round pick of the Colorado Rockies in the 2011 First Year Player Draft.
Perez was a mainstay in GCU's starting rotation over the past three seasons, proving to be an instrumental part of the squad's run to the 2013 NCAA Division II Baseball Championships in Cary, N.C. That season, he went 8-4 with a 2.86 ERA (34 ER in 107.0 IP) in 16 games (15 starts) and had three complete games, including a shutout on April 4, 2013 at Fresno Pacific.
In 2014, Perez posted a 3.43 ERA (24 ER in 63.0 IP) while picking up a team-best three saves as the Lopes made their return to the Division I ranks and the Western Athletic Conference.
While pitching for the Corvallis Knights of the West Coast League in the summer of 2013, Perez was rated as the No. 2 prospect in the WCL according to Baseball America after recording 11 saves and boasting an impressive 1.30 ERA.
GCU's baseball tradition has seen 14 players reach the Major Leagues, most recently when Brian Broderick made the Washington Nationals' Opening Day roster in 2011.
