Softball Adds Pair of Games to Slate

‘Lopes will play at California twice on March 20
The Grand Canyon University softball team has announced they have added a pair of games to its 2014 schedule. The Antelopes will now play twice against California (12-11) on Thursday, March 20. The first game of the doubleheader is slated to get underway at 2 p.m. (Arizona Time), with game two following at 4:30 p.m. (Arizona Time).
Grand Canyon will then remain in California through the weekend, competing in the Santa Clara Marriott Round Robin Invitational. GCU will return home March 28-29 to host its first-ever Western Athletic Conference (WAC) series when Kansas City travels to Stapleton-Pierson Stadium. Canyon will play the 'Roos twice on Friday, before concluding the three-game series with a mid-day contest on Saturday afternoon.
GCU is 11-12 on the season and will be idle until they play at California on March 20. Fans can find the complete 2014 schedule and all season updates at www.gculopes.com.
