The Grand Canyon University baseball team, originally scheduled to play a three-game series at Abilene Christian, will participate in the Bourland - Ardoin Classic hosted by the Wildcats along with Big 12 Conference member, and defending conference champion, Kansas State and Missouri Valley Conference member Missouri State. The Antelopes (4-4) will play Kansas State (1-7) today at noon and tomorrow at 10 a.m., host Abilene Christian tomorrow at 2 p.m., and Missouri State on Sunday at 10 a.m. All game times are listed in Arizona time.

GAME NOTES
AT THE BOURLAND-ARDOIN CLASSIC
The Antelopes have never faced the three other teams participating in this weekend's tournament. ACU joins GCU as a transitioning school into Division I.
THE LAST SERIES
The 'Lopes won their home opening series against Hofstra, 3-1. In the first game, Jorge Perez tossed a complete game, allowing just 1 run on 6 hits. Andrew Naderer picked up the win in the second game, while Ethan Evanko was Sunday's winner in the series finale. For the series, second baseman Chad De La Guerra hit .500 (8-for-16) with a double, triple, home run, and 8 RBI. In two games behind the plate, Humberto Aranda went 4-for-6 with a double, triple, and 2 RBI. Reliever Scott Serigstad combined for 2.2 scoreless innings. Over the four games, GCU outscored the Pride 32-13 and had three double-digit hitting affairs.
PEREZ ON THE MOUND
Jorge Perez, who will start today's game against Kansas State, tossed his first complete game of the season, seventh career, in GCU's 8-1 win in their home-opener versus Hofstra on Feb. 21. In his first start in 2014, Perez racked up a career-best 10 strikeouts over 7.0 innings of work in the season opener on Feb. 14 at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. For the Antelopes last season, Perez went 8-4 with a 2.86 ERA in 16 games (15 starts), collecting three complete games. Perez was named to the NCAA Division II West Region Championship All-Tournament Team after allowing just 2 earned runs in 12.0 innings, including a complete-game victory over Sonoma State and his first career save in the championship-clinching win over Chico State. He also tossed a complete game versus Coker College in GCU's 10-2 win at the NCAA Division II Baseball Championships in Cary, N.C.
