The Grand Canyon men's basketball team (5-8) will open their inaugural Western Athletic Conference schedule with a home game tonight against the University of Texas-Pan American (4-10) at GCU Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The Antelopes enter the game looking to snap a five-game losing streak, while the Broncos look to snap a six-game skid of their own. GCU enters the game with an all-time record of 33-2 at GCU Arena.

VS. TEXAS-PAN AMERICAN
This will be the first meeting between GCU and UTPA as both squads are competing in their first-ever Western Athletic Conference game.
LAST TIME OUT
The Antelopes dropped the consolation game of the Dr. Pepper Classic, 79-56, to Middle Tennessee State on Monday, their fifth straight loss after posting their lowest field goal percentage of the season (31.0 percent). Killian Larson, named to the All-Tournament Team, recorded his 10
th double-double and averaged 22.0 points and 13.5 rebounds in two games. Jerome Garrison also averaged double-digit scoring for GCU (13.5 points).
OPPOSITE STREAKS
GCU won four straight games from Nov. 22-Dec. 3, during which time they averaged 80.8 points and shot 46.7 percent from the field (100-for-214). In the midst of a five game losing streak, the 'Lopes are averaging 62.8 points per game and shooting just 39.1 percent. All five of those games have been away from home for GCU.
