The Grand Canyon men's basketball team (7-9, 2-1) will look to make it two straight this evening when they face Utah Valley (7-7, 1-0) at the UCCU Center in Orem, Utah at 7 p.m. GCU is off to an impressive league start and sit just a half-game back of league-leaders New Mexico State and Kansas City.

GAME NOTES
VS. UTAH VALLEY
The Antelopes and Wolverines have met once before, when both were NCAA Division II institutions. UVU (formerly Utah Valley State College) won, 71-49, over GCU on Feb. 15, 2005.
LAST TIME OUT
The Antelopes earned their first "true" road win, defeating Bakersfield 66-63 in WAC action. GCU overcame a 10-point halftime deficit by outscoring the Runners 42-29 in the final 20 minutes, going 15-for-23 (65.2 percent) from the field. GCU had four players score in double figures, including Killian Larson (13), Sam Daly (12), Daniel Alexander (12), and Blake Davis (11).
HALFTIME DEFICIT? NO BIG DEAL
The 'Lopes have overcome two 10-point halftime deficits this season, doing so on Dec. 3 vs. Vanguard (38-28) and Jan. 9 at Bakersfield (34-24). GCU has outscored the opposition 640-570 in the final 20 minutes of their 16 games, posting a 45.5 field goal percentage (189-for-415) in the second half. The 'Lopes have gone 166-for-410 (40.5 percent) in the first half.
