Grand Canyon men’s volleyball and softball are partnering and creating awareness for local and national charities this weekend.
For Saturday’s 6 p.m. men’s volleyball game against Ohio State, the team is partnering with Special Olympics of Arizona for a Unified Sports^® volleyball game in between the second and third sets.

Unified Sports^® is an inclusive program which combines individuals with intellectual disabilities (athletes) and individuals without intellectual disabilities (partners) on sports teams for training and competition. Athletes and partners compete alongside one another, each in a meaningful and integral role on the Unified Sports^® team.

For Saturday’s 12 p.m. doubleheader with Dominican, the softball team will wear its pink uniforms for the program’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness game.
