Baseball Remains 10th in West Region Poll

Third straight week that GCU has been ranked
The Grand Canyon University baseball team remained 10th in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) West Region poll, as released today.
The Antelopes are coming off a four-game sweep of Academy of Art in their Pacific West Conference opening series, outscoring the Urban Knights by a margin of 37-5.
Steven Swingle continues to swing a hot bat for the ‘Lopes with a .429 average (21-for-49) with 3 doubles, 3 triples, 2 home runs and 14 RBI in 12 games. Derek Mendoza leads the squad with 15 RBI. Jorge Perez picked up his team-high third win over the weekend and boasts a 1.38 ERA (4 ER in 26.0 IP) with 23 strikeouts. Andrew Naderer leads the starters with 25 strikeouts.
