Grand Canyon (31-16, 18-6) split a Pacific West Conference doubleheader with Notre Dame de Namur at at Notre Dame High School in Belmont, Calif., Saturday.

Nicole Upshaw hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning to give GCU a 3-1 victory in the opener. The Antelopes rallied late, but lost 6-3 in the second game.
The Antelopes return home for their final six regular-season games. On Monday, GCU plays host to a noon doubleheader against BYU-Hawai’i. The weekend and regular season ends Friday and Saturday with a pair of noon doubleheaders against Dixie State.
The remaining games will determine whether the Antelopes advance to the post season. Currently, GCU is in the eighth and final spot for the NCAA West Region Tournament.
GCU won three of four in its series with NDNU. Upshaw’s home run was her fourth of the season.
"That was big," said coach Ann Pierson of Upshaw's game-winner. "Their pitcher was throwing well and had us off-balance all game. It was nice for Nic to come up with, certainly, a timely hit. It was a bomb."
Kiki Sepulveda picked up the win to improve to 12-5 on the season.

Kayla Henry made a diving catch in the second inning to save a run.

Kelsey Barak, Upshaw and Henry each had two hits. GCU had 11 for the game. Sepulveda gave up eight hits and struck out two.
The Antelopes were down 6-0 in the second game. Their seventh inning rally was able to get two runs. Henry started the seventh off with her school-record ninth triple of the season. She scored on a one-out double by
Haley Walker. A bunt single by Holtorf put runners on the corner and a Barak
sac fly made the final margin 6-3.
Walker and Holtorf each had two hits. GCU had nine hits for the game. Starter
Danielle Legee suffered the loss to fall to 3-2.
Janelle Christman threw five and two-thirds innings of relief and gave up two earned runs.
"Not enough offense and not enough defense," described Pierson of the game 2 loss.
"I was proud of Janelle. She pitched outstanding and really hung in there," Pierson added.
Barak had a hit in each game to extend her hitting streak to 12 games. She had a 13-game hitting streak earlier in the season. Holtorf had the longest streak of the season, 15.
