The Grand Canyon University softball team lost to Humboldt State, 7-5, today in the Bronze Bracket of the Tournament of Champions Presented by Mizuno in Turlock, Calif.
It was the Antelopes' fourth loss in a row and their final game in the three-day tournament. They finished the tourney with a 1-5 record and are 13-18 overall, 5-7 in the Pacific West Conference.

Dani Jackman (Mill Creek, WA/Henry M. Jackson) started for GCU and pitched 1.1 innings. She allowed one hit and four runs, all of which were earned. She walked four and had no strikeouts.

Janelle Christman (Tucson, AZ/Canyon del Oro) pitched the next 2.2 innings and gave up four hits and one run, which was earned. She walked one and had no strikeouts.

Danielle Legee (Lebanon, OR/Lebanon) pitched the final two innings. She allowed four hits and two runs, both of which were earned.
Jackman took the loss and is 3-5 on the season.
The 'Lopes managed six hits in the game, including two each by junior third baseman
Vanessa Chavez (Tucson, AZ/Salpointe Catholic, Central Arizona College) and junior designated player
Vanessa Ramirez (Phoenix, AZ/St. Mary's, Mesa Community College). Chavez also had a stolen base and scored a run.
The Lumberjacks had nine hits.
GCU scored two runs in the top of the first inning, one in the fifth, one in the sixth and one in the seventh.
