Grand Canyon University basketball was the topic of Dan Bickley's column in yesterday's edition of The Arizona Republic, the state's largest newspaper, and on azcentral.com, Arizona's most-visited website.
The column, titled "Grand Canyon plots to become a basketball power," discusses GCU's plans for the future, which include the opening of its new 5,000-seat arena -- the "best mid-size venue in the country" -- this fall and its intent to join a Division I conference such as the Western Athletic Conference.
CEO Brian Mueller and men's basketball Head Coach Russ Pennell are quoted in the column written by the award-winning journalist, co-host of the award-winning "Bickley and MJ" radio show and author of two books, including "Return of the Gold: The Journey of Jerry Colangelo and the Redeem Team."
