Bruns Earns Top Spot in NCAA Statistical Rankings; GCU Takes on IPFW Tonight

Bruns has recorded 214 total digs this season and averages 2.74 digs per set. He finished the 2010 season ranked second in the nation with 502 total digs and averaging 3.61 per set.

GCU is 0-4 against IPFW in its all-time series. The teams last met on Feb. 13, 2010 in a 3-0 victory for the Mastodons.
Currently, IPFW is 8-7 for the 2011 season and 0-5 in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA). The ‘Lopes are 8-13 overall and 0-2 in the MIVA.
Grand Canyon is on a three game winning streak after defeating NJIT on Feb. 26 (3-1), Stevens Tech on Feb. 28 (3-0), and NYU on March 1 (3-2). In the victory over the NYU Bobcats, sophomore Jordon Tarantino (Valley Center, CA , Valley Center , Palomar Community College) set a new school record for kills in a single match with 25 and libero Bruns recorded 21 digs in the contest.
