Michelle Rasmussen (Puyallup, WA/Emerald Ridge, Arizona Western College) have been named to the Pacific West Conference Softball Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll.
The recognition, for games played Feb. 21-27, was announced today by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix.
Barry, the 2010 PacWest Player of the Year and 2011 Preseason PacWest Player of the Year, batted .571 in a doubleheader split with Hawai'i Hilo on Feb. 27. She was 4-for-7 with two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base. She had a .571 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base average.
Linert shut out the Vulcans on Feb. 27, tossing a complete game while allowing no earned runs over seven innings of work. She recorded five strikeouts and gave up just two hits, and held opponents to a .087 batting average.
Rasmussen batted .667 in the doubleheader with Hawai'i Hilo. She went 4-for-6 with two RBI and one run scored. She had a .667 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base average.
The Antelopes (7-6 overall, 1-1 PacWest) play doubleheaders against Hawai'i Pacific tomorrow at Kaneohe, Hawaii; Chaminade on Wednesday at Waipahu, Hawaii; and BYU-Hawai'i on Thursday at Laie, Hawaii. Their home opener is against Dixie State on March 12.
