Grand Canyon will look for a share of the Pacific West Conference lead Saturday when it takes on BYU-Hawai'i at Antelope Gymnasium.
The contest will be televised nationally by CBS College Sports Network. In the Phoenix area, CCSN is available on the following channels: Cox (187, 778-HD), Qwest (41), DIRECTV (613) and DISH Network (152).
GCU (9-6, 4-1) has won seven of its last eight, seven straight PacWest home games and is only one game behind the first place Seasiders, winners of six straight against the Antelopes. BYUH (10-4, 5-0) is the last conference team to beat GCU at Antelope Gymnasium.
Both teams are coming off big wins Thursday. The 'Lopes beat Chaminade, previously unbeaten in league play. BYUH won on the road at always-tough Dixie State.
"We enjoyed the win (over Chaminade), but we had to go back and get refocued to be ready for (BYUH)," said GCU senior center
Gaby Ngoundjo (Douala, Cameroon, Little Rock Christian, Charlotte), who had 12 points and 12 rebounds in the 66-57 win against the Silverswords.
Tip-off for Saturday's showdown is 12:05 p.m. Charlie Neal and Dwight Freeman will call the action for CCSN.
