Grand Canyon looks to regain its winning ways in the first of three Pacific West Conference road games Tuesday at Notre Dame de Namur.
Ranked No. 17 in the nation, GCU is 12-2 overall and 0-1 in the PacWest after a loss at No. 20 Dixie State Jan. 8. GCU will travel to Academy of Art Thursday and Dominican Saturday before returning home for eight consecutive contests at Antelope Gymnasium.
“Every single conference game is important,” said GCU coach Trent May. “We’ve had a good week of practice and we’ve come back re-focused.”
GCU had won 11 straight prior to the loss at Dixie State. NDNU (6-7, 3-1) provides another tough challenge. The Argonauts beat GCU, 63-61 at Antelope Gymnasium last year. GCU owns a 10-3 lead in the all-time series and has a 6-0 record at Walter Gleason Gymnasium.
“We have 15 conference games remaining and the very next one is always the most important,” added May. “We want to get back our winning ways and we’re excited about getting back on the court.”
Tip-off for Tuesday’s contest is 5:30 p.m. PST. Fans can watch the action for a fee on the
