Lopes lose to No. 11 Cal Baptist in close one

RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- Grand Canyon University's wrestling team lost to Cal Baptist University, 21-15, Saturday at the CBU Duals.
It was the second loss to Cal Baptist in the last week after the Antelopes (0-12-1) fell to the Lancers, ranked No. 11 in NAIA, following a 20-16 loss on 1-16-09 at GCU.
Grand Canyon's Jack Porter won by major decision over Russell Delmar 13-2 at 165. It was Porter's fourth straight win and 16th of the season. He's won by major decision in both of his last two matches.
Austen Moore (pictured main page) defeated Ethan Hall 12-6 at 141. Ryan Becerra beat Bryce Wilson by technical fall, 19-3, at 184. Daniel Garay decisioned C.J. Knowland 6-2 at 174.
The Antelpes lost to No. 5 Southern Oregon, 34-3. Garay (pictured) had the only win for the Antelopes.
Originally GCU was supposed to wrestle another dual Saturday, but coaches from both sides agreed not wrestle.
