Grand Canyon's 125-pound Tony Covert (Mesa Mountain View) pinned Embry Riddle's Ryan Luu in 3:53 Saturday in a dual meet in Prescott. And heavyweight Jed Jobe (Gilbert/Arizona State) won by forfeit for the Antelopes, but the forfeiture of six weight classes made it once again statistically impossible for GCU to win as a team.

Grand Canyon lost to Embry Riddle 37-12.

Covert (pictured) recorded his fifth pin of the season. Jobe, who joined the lineup in January and has wrestled sparingly, evened his record at 3-3 this season.

Jack Porter (Ahwatukee/Desert Vista HS) lost by technical fall at 174 pounds to Hayden Harrison 27-11. Stephen Towne (Ahwatukee/Desert Vista HS) was beaten by Eli Arismendez 10-7 at 157.
