Grand Canyon got its first win, but not its first series.

The Antelopes (1-2) split a doubleheader with CSU San Bernardino at Brazell Stadium Monday, winning the opener 7-6 and losing 9-3 in game 2 to drop the season-opening series 2-1.

A five-run fourth inning helped propel the Lopes in the opener.

Already ahead 2-1 on a two-run homer from Colin Courtland, GCU extended its lead sending 10 men to the plate. Matt Fox opened the frame with a double and Billy Schroeder and Austin Stockfisch (pictured) each had two RBI hits in the inning.
