Garbage time is the time late in a basketball game when the game already has been decided and seldom-used reserves get some playing time.
This game felt like garbage time from the start.
The Grand Canyon University men's basketball team never was in the game as it lost, 67-38, to Alaska Anchorage today in its second game in the Glacier Classic on the campus of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. After beating the host team last night to improve their record to 4-8 and feel good about themselves, the young Antelopes came out flat today against a good, experienced team.
