The 'Lopes really needed this one.

The Grand Canyon University men's basketball team traveled 3,000 miles to play in the Glacier Classic in Fairbanks, Alaska, and it needed a win as badly as residents of this city need warm clothing to survive the winter. And they got it, 77-72, over host University of Alaska Fairbanks tonight at the Patty Center on the UAF campus.

The Antelopes improved to 4-8, while the Nanooks fell to 2-4.
