GCU Outshoots NDNU, But Falls 1-0

Grand Canyon outshot Notre Dame de Namur 23-7, but the Argonauts scored the match's lone goal to down the Antelopes 1-0 at GCU Soccer Field Thursday.

GCU (8-9-2, 5-6-2) had seven shots on goal. Seniors Kaylen Jackson (Tucson, Ariz./Amphitheater) and Jessica Schartz (Glendale, Ariz./Paradise Valley) each had three shots on goal. Senior Rea-Ann Fuzy (Mesa, Ariz./Mountain View) had the other.

NDNU (7-10-1, 7-5-1) scored the game's lone goal at the 40:49 mark of the first period. Alexis Tershay scored the goal.

GCU finishes its season with Senior Day Saturday at noon against Academy of Art.
