Humboldt State, ranked 20th in the country, beat Dominguez Hills 1-0 in the championship game.
Grand Canyon took a 2-0 lead in the third inning when Tana Holtorf produced a one-out run-scoring single to left and Randi Johns had a sacrifice fly to drive in another run. But Dominguez Hills (20-15) scored four runs with two outs in the bottom half of the inning to take command.
The Toros added three more runs in their next at-bat to seal it.
