Michael Garrihy was announced as an assistant coach with an emphasis in goalkeeping May 20, 2026 and begins his first season with the program.
Garrihy joined GCU from his previous stint at Jacksonville, where he served in the same role on staff for two seasons in 2024 and 2025. The Dolphins reached the ASUN Championship semifinals in 2025 with goalkeeping totaling just a shade over 1.00 GAA all season.
Prior to coaching, Garrihy played for Tennessee Wesleyan at the NAIA level, competing in two national tournaments and earning All-Conference accolades in three separate seasons. He totaled 166 saves, 18 shutouts, a 1.04 GAA and a .711 save percentage in three seasons in goal.
He also appeared for Galway United in the League of Ireland and was capped underage for the Republic of Ireland.
Originally from Lisdoonvarna, Garrihy earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Exercise Science at Tennessee Weshleyan
