Filippo Sacripanti is in his first season as a graduate assistant with the Grand Canyon men’s basketball program in 2026-27 after serving multiple seasons as an undergraduate student manager for the Lopes.
Sacripanti joined the program in January 2023 and advanced to head manager. In that role, he oversaw the student manager staff and assisted the coaching staff with practice and game preparation. His responsibilities included recording and editing practice footage, organizing video for coaches and cutting game film live to make clips available for analysis immediately following games.
Before arriving at GCU, Sacripanti worked as a video analyst for Pallacanestro Cantù in Italy during the 2021-22 season. His experience with the professional club helped him transition from playing basketball to pursuing a career in coaching and basketball operations.
Sacripanti grew up around the sport in Cantù, Italy. His uncle, Stefano “Pino” Sacripanti, is a longtime Italian professional basketball coach who also led Italy to the 2013 FIBA U20 European Championship. Sacripanti played in Pallacanestro Cantù’s youth program before shifting his focus toward coaching and video analysis.
Sacripanti earned his bachelor’s degree in sports studies from GCU in 2026. He also represented Indonesia as a delegate at the Change the World Model United Nations conference in Singapore in 2024.
