Ashley Gentry joined the GCU sports medicine team as an assistant athletic trainer in the summer of 2022. In her role, Gentry provides athletic training services to GCU's cheer and dance programs.
Gentry most recently worked at Concordia-Irvine, providing athletic training support to the school's cheer, stunt, swim and dive, dance and women's water polo programs.
Prior to her start in college athletics, Gentry worked at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida, in 2017. She worked for a dynamic employer in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, until 2020 working with entertainment cast members. In 2020, she worked in competitive cheerleading with OC All Stars.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Gentry attended Ball State and completed a Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training in 2017. While at Concordia-Irvine, Gentry completed a Master's of Science in Coaching and Exercise Science in 2022. She is currently working on her Doctorate Degree in Performance Psychology from GCU.
