Matt Nash finished his first season as a graduate manager for the GCU men's basketball program in 2019-20.
Nash joined the GCU staff with experience at the NBA, college and high school levels. While at GCU, he is pursuing a Masters of Education in Special Education.
A Nogales, Arizona, native, Nash played basketball at Nogales High School and went on to play at Central Arizona College in Coolidge, Arizona, from 2009-11. Upon graduation, he joined the Vaqueros coaching staff from 2012-14. He helped lead CAC to a program-best 30-5 record in 2012-13, racking up conference, region and district championships.
Nash moved to the Pacific Northwest to join the Portland Trail Blazers as a video analyst from 2015-17. He helped track and analyze offensive and defensive tendencies of opposing teams and gathered data for use by the coaching and scouting staffs.
After two seasons with the Blazers, Nash stayed in Portland to coach at Westview High School as a junior varsity head coach and varsity assistant.
