Achoki Moikobu was the director of recruiting with the Grand Canyon men's basketball program for the 2020-21 season.
In his season with the Lopes, Moikobu helped lead GCU to its first WAC regular-season championship, first WAC tournament championship and first trip to the NCAA tournament. Moikobu and the Lopes coaching staff inherited a 13-17 squad and went 17-7 in 2020-21.
Moikobu is a native of Seattle, Washington, and — prior to his arrival at GCU in the summer of 2020 — spent the previous six years as the postgraduate head coach at Sunrise Christian Academy, a basketball power in Bel Aire, Kansas. During his time leading the program, he coached 28 Division I players.
Moikobu played at Fort Hays State in Hays, Kansas, where he was a 40.7% 3-point shooter with 91 makes in two seasons.
