- Named to the 6A All-Star Game as a senior in 2023.

- Parents are David and Sarah Matranga.
- Father, David, appeared in seven MLB games (six with Houston in 2003, one with Anaheim in 2005). Homered in first MLB at bat. Was a sixth-round pick of Houston in the 1998 MLB Draft after a three-year career at Pepperdine from 1996-98. Hit .300 for his Waves career and was an All-WCC shortstop (honorable mention in 1996, first team in 1997). As a sophomore in 1997, led Pepperdine in home runs (11) and RBIs (50).
