Academics & Student-Athlete Development
Hiring manager: Katy Keenan
- Study Hall Monitor
- Example duties: manage the study hall check-in/check-out process by communicating with student-athletes, help maintain a positive and non-distracting work environment by enforcing the Office of Student-Athlete Development’s policies and procedures.
- Academic Mentor
- Example duties: provide one-to-one support to student-athletes to expand their academic skills, help student-athletes develop organization, time management, and self-advocacy skills.
Box Office
Hiring manager: James Hall
- Ticket Service Representative
- Example duties: sell tickets through box office ticketing system, provide strong customer support at in-person window for general information and ticket sales, mailing materials, stocking supplies, data entry, additional ticket office work.
Broadcast & Media Production
Hiring manager: Al Porteous
- Athletics Livestream Crew
- Example duties: serving as crew on athletics livestream including camera, replay and graphics operators, directors, and producers; assisting with pre-production, location filming and data and asset management.
- Broadcast Commentator / Reporter
- Example duties: Play-By-Play and Color Commentators describe the action as it happens in real-time, offering analysis and insight to each athletic broadcast. Sideline Reporter provides live updates during a broadcast, conducts interviews with coaches and players and enhances the main storylines with preparation and research. Position also works as camera, replay, graphic operators on livestreams for games not commentating/reporting. Must submit a demo reel of previous work or and example of previous Commentating or Reporting Experience.

- Athletics Creative Videographer
- Example duties: assisting full-time staff with creative video projects; opportunities to produce original content within the GCU brand; videography for sporting events and practices; creative production for video boards, broadcast, social media; may also serve as livestream crew if needed.

- Athletics Student Photographer
- Example duties: serving as a photographer for GCU athletics including: games and practices, studio shoots, press conferences, special events, community outreach with need to work on expedited timelines with responsible organization and management.

Communications & Social Media
Hiring manager: Josh Hauser
- Athletic Communications Assistant
- Example duties: tracking statistics at home events, writing student-athlete bios, updating historical archives, creating press releases, updating game notes and media guides.
- Social Media Assistant
- Example duties: scheduling game promotion messaging, assisting with TikTok strategy, covering events with creative storytelling on Instagram stories, assisting in brainstorming of athletics social content.
- Graphic Design Assistant
- Example duties: organizing digital assets, cropping action photos, creating social media content, creating marketing collateral, creating video board content, creating recruiting materials.

- Example duties: assist with setup and teardown of athletic events, serve on gameday staff in roles such as ticketing, scoreboard controllers, music and video board operators, assist athletic staff with maintenance and upkeep.
Guest Services

- Guest Services Representative
- Example duties: provide every guest with a positive first impression by offering superior, individualized service; scan tickets, assist guests with questions, show guests their seats; provide guests with accurate event and arena information; have a positive, friendly and outgoing personality.
Havocs
Hiring manager: Jesi Weeks
- Havocs Leader
- Example duties: provide support for all NCAA sports on campus, strive to create top gameday environment, host events such as Camp Elliott and tailgates, use social media and other marketing tools to raise awareness of NCAA games.
- Hiring status: opens each spring with number of positions varying by year depending on need.
- Havocs Student DJ
- Example duties: playlist curation for volleyball and basketball games with possibility of additional sports, creative music development for Havocs projects, meet with Havocs leaders and other campus partners to prepare for upcoming games, playlist curation for other Havocs events such as tailgates, culture nights, etc.
Marketing
Hiring manager: Christina Wagner
- Athletic Marketing & Game Entertainment
- Example duties: work on- and off-site events promoting GCU Athletics, assist in marketing campaigns, setup and breakdown of promotional activities aimed at fan interaction, gameday duties including managing groups and distributing giveaways, generate sales leads and collect data, assist with promo item inventory, group outreach, assist with ideas and execution of in-game entertainment at athletic events.
Team Managers
- Many GCU Athletics teams use student managers to help their programs operate on a day-to-day basis. Utilize the athletics staff directory to reach out to the operations director or coaching staff of GCU's athletic teams.
