This form is to request a credential for event coverage. If you are interested in interviewing a coach or student-athlete outside of a home GCU event, please
contact the relevant sport representative here.
You are not able to request season credentials through this process. Season-long media credentials are granted on an extremely limited basis and not granted to students or freelance photographers. If you'd still like to request a season credential,
email the GCU communications staff.
Credential Policy
Grand Canyon University will provide athletic media credentials to individuals on a case-by-case basis, using the below criteria as a guideline for approval. Grand Canyon University reserves the right to issue credentials at its discretion.
- Necessary radio and television personnel for a broadcast originating from a GCU athletic facility on behalf of GCU, the opponent or a national entity with approved broadcast rights.
- Radio or television personnel not originating a broadcast of the game but reporting and/or producing content on GCU or its opponent.
- Individuals officially affiliated with a newspaper, publication or website with substantial circulation or digital presence that produce substantive reports and/or multimedia content on GCU or its opponent.
- Sports information and digital content personnel from GCU, its opponent, or affiliated conference representation.
- Current students of Grand Canyon University or other institutions with career goals in journalism or multimedia for educational purposes.
Game credential submissions will only be accepted via this form. Requests via phone or voicemail will not be accepted.
A GCU Athletics credential is for identification and entry into athletic events as specified and must be worn in full view at all times. The bearer of a GCU Athletics credential must abide by all NCAA rules and regulations. Any unauthorized use of a credential will result in immediate ejection from the site of competition. Credentials may be revoked at any time and for any reason at the discretion of GCU Athletics or NCAA representatives. Acceptance of a GCU Athletics credential constitutes an agreement by the bearer to abide by the foregoing conditions and user assumes all risk and liabilities during its use. The credential is non-transferable.
