Grand Canyon sophomore
Jada Cooper earned her second Mountain West Player of the Week award after an unreal week at the plate on the road vs. Colorado State.

The first baseman reached base via hit and walk in all three games of the series, earning a .667 batting average and .846 on-base percentage over the weekend.
Cooper hit two home runs and 9 RBI's, walking seven times in the three game set. Her highlight of the weekend came in the seventh inning of game two, when Cooper launched a go-ahead grand slam with an out in the seventh, down three runs. Cooper homered again in the first inning of game three's run-rule win for the sweep.
Jada holds a .556 on-base percentage this year, thanks in part to her GCU all-time single season record of 45 walks this year. She has also been hit by pitch another nine times.
Cooper finished the regular season at a team-best .379 AVG, 14 home runs and 57 RBI's. She ranks third all-time in the GCU division-one era in career home runs with 26. She helped break the Lopes all-time single season team record as well, as Grand Canyon has powered 76 home runs so far this season.
Cooper and the Lopes are 48-7 on the season with a 21-4 conference record that earned GCU the Mountain West Regular Season title and No. 1 seed in this week's MW Championship. The tournament takes place in Reno, Nevada and the winner will represent the conference as it's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
