After a sweep of New Mexico in Grand Canyon's first-ever Mountain West series, the Lopes took home two weekly Mountain West awards. Sophomore
Jada Cooper won Player of the Week, while
Raegan Holtorf took home a long-overdue MW Freshman of the Week award.

Cooper caused problems for the Lobos all weekend in the middle of GCU's lineup. The sophomore first baseman and designated player hit out of the three-hole, driving in runs and getting on base.
Cooper finished the week with a home run, five RBIs, a .444 batting average and a .500 on-base percentage. The heavy wind gusts in Albuquerque likely held another potential home run in the yard in Game 1 of the series.
The Houston native leads the team in home runs (seven), RBIs (29) and on-base percentage (.510), starting in all 30 games this season. She is one of seven players in the country with 30 games and an on-base percentage of at least .500.

Holtorf has been the model of consistency this season, coming up with big hits at the top of the Lopes order. Filling in for injured superstar
Savannah Kirk at second base, Holtorf has started all 30 games and has been the two-hole hitter since the second weekend of the season.
Holtorf earned a hit, run and RBI in all three wins at New Mexico this weekend, the only player to do so on GCU. The Peoria, Arizona, native is hitting .369 on the season and leads the team with 31 hits. She has homered twice and has 18 RBIs.
Cooper and Holtorf have helped the Lopes become the only undefeated team in the nation at 30-0 and will face its toughest test yet, with ranked Oklahoma State coming to GCU Softball Stadium at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
