Former WAC Freshman of the Year is GCU's 3rd summer signee
Holland spent her freshman and fifth-year seasons at GCU, averaging 10.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. She recorded 316 points, 133 assists and 95 rebounds during the 2019-20 campaign, earning her WAC Freshman of the Year honors to be the first Lope to do so in the program's Division I era.
"Signing my first pro contract with the Riders is a dream come true." Holland said, "It's the moment you work your whole life for. I'm excited to get out there and meet all my teammates and the fans."
She spent her sophomore and junior seasons at UC Riverside before transferring to San Jose State her senior year. With another year of eligibility remaining due to COVID-19, Holland came back to GCU in 2023-24 and appeared in 23 games, dishing out a team-high 102 assists with 4.4 assists per game to rank third in the WAC."I'm thrilled to welcome Jada to the Riders family," Leicester head coach Nick Moodey said in a team statement. "She's a dynamic point guard with great leadership qualities and a desire to facilitate for her teammates. Her time at GCU, combined with her pace, toughness, and ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor, makes her a fantastic addition to our team, and I'm looking forward to working with her."
