Grand Canyon women's basketball is cracking the national top 25 in many areas with the second-longest active winning streak and now claimed a top-25 vote to accentuate the program momentum.
GCU picked up its first AP Top 25 vote of its Division I era to be one of 37 teams in the nation receiving a vote in Monday's poll.

The Lopes (22-2, 9-0 WAC) won their 20th consecutive game Saturday with an 84-55 blowout of defending WAC champion California Baptist. Across the nation, only No. 1 UCLA (23-0) has a longer active winning streak than GCU's 20 in a row. The Lopes have not lost since a Nov. 18 game at then-No. 23 Oregon.
GCU fifth-year head coach
Molly Miller said her team is "locked in" with a focus on its manta, "What do you need to do day in and day out to get better?"
"I feel proud for our kids," Miller said after a program-record 20th consecutive win made her Lopes teams 107-37 since 2020-21. "I feel happy for our kids. They work so hard. The season can be long, and February's a grind."
GCU also has reached its highest ranking in the NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET), climbing to No. 65 as it enjoys the program's first-ever run of four consecutive 20-win seasons.
The Lopes rank in the top 25 nationally in several categories too:
- No. 4, field goal percentage (49.4%)
- No. 6, 3-point percentage (38.0%)
- No. 9, steals per game (17.9)
- No. 16, opponent turnovers per game (22.0)
- No. 19, scoring margin per game (plus-21.0)
- No. 20, assists per game (18.0)
- No. 22, turnover margin per game (plus-6.7)
GCU boasts four potential All-WAC players with national top-25 rankings as well in their final seasons:
"It feels great, but we still have bigger goals," Brown said in her fifth GCU year. "Same mindset. Come out with energy. 0-0. Don't look at their record. Worry about our record: 0-0."
