Grand Canyon's rapid rise to a national brand of college basketball has drawn a television audience to match this season.
In GCU's first campaign as a Mountain West member, 13 Lopes games will broadcast on national television after it was revealed Wednesday that 10 of their conference games and their Jerry Colangelo Classic matchup were selected by national networks.
In addition to showing GCU's two games at the Acrisure Classic, CBS Sports Network will broadcast the Lopes' Dec. 6 Jerry Colangelo Classic game against Oklahoma State at Mortgage Matchup Center and two of GCU's Mountain West games.
FS1 chose seven more of the Lopes' Mountain West games, and GCU will make its first-ever appearance on a Big Four network when it plays Feb. 7 at UNLV on Fox — the only MW game selected for Fox.
"In moving conferences, obviously a big part of the decision was the national TV exposure to help to be seen across the country on a variety of days of the week and at a variety of times," Lopes head coach
Bryce Drew said. "Hopefully, more people can get their eyes on GCU."
The Lopes' total of 13 regular-season games on national television this season matches GCU's total for its past five seasons combined. Those five seasons included four NCAA Tournament qualifiers under Drew.
The program's broadcast visibility has experienced a steady growth in the Drew era, starting with one nationally televised regular-season game in 2020-21 and growing to two in 2021-22, three each in 2022-23 and 2023-24 and a previous program best of four last season.
GCU's chronological lineup of this regular season's 13 nationally televised games features:
- Nov. 25: vs. Utah at Acrisure Classic, CBS Sports Network
- Nov. 26: vs. Iowa or Ole Miss at Acrisure Classic, CBSSN

The Lopes could have more nationally broadcast games in the postseason during the Mountain West Championship and a potential return to the NCAA Tournament.
All GCU home games not selected by a national network will be televised on one of Arizona's Family stations (3TV, CBS 5 or Arizona's Family Sports). All conference games – home and away – not appearing on CBSSN, FS1 or Fox will be shown on Mountain West Network.
