ST. GEORGE, Utah – Grand Canyon swept its Utah road trip with a dominant Saturday night effort that built a 28-point lead on the way to a 79-66 victory at Utah Tech.
The Lopes (15-5, 5-1 WAC) posted their fourth consecutive double-digit victory by continuing their defense that has held opponents to 37% shooting over the past 10 games (9-1). Coming off a 58% shooting game, Utah Tech shot 37% from the field Saturday night to end its four-game home winning streak.
GCU has won four consecutive games by 13 or more points for the first time since the 2021-22 season (Dec. 31, 2021 to Jan. 16, 2022)

Quotable
Lopes head coach
Bryce Drew: "I loved the first 37 minutes. I thought our defense was terrific in the first half and really set a tone for us. Thank the Lord that 3 didn't count at halftime. I thought that was a big shot. It saved us a possession in the second half. Our second-half surge at the beginning was really good. We got stops and scores consecutive times and got it up to 20, which coming out of the locker room is really important in college basketball."
What's next?
