
Grand Canyon graduate
Ramsay Lopez earned her first WAC Player of the Week award after a
grand weekend performance.
Lopes included a grand slam in her award-winning Purple Classic tournament to help GCU go 5-0 last weekend, Lopez swung for a .571 batting average, 13 RBIs, eight hits, two home runs, a grand slam, a 1.214 slugging percentage and a .611 on-base percentage with three walks.
GCU defeated Pacific, New Mexico, Montana and Toledo (twice), three of which by run rule, with Lopez starting each game as the Lopes' designated player.
Saturday may have been Albuquerque, New Mexico, native's most impressive feat of the season, tallying a career high-tying five RBIs on a grand slam and a sacrifice fly to build an early 5-0 Lopes lead against Toledo.

Kristin Fifield swept the first two weeks' awards.
The Lopes are on the road this weekend for five Louisville Slugger Invitaitonal games in Long Beach and Fullerton, California.
