Grant-Foster wins 3rd WAC weekly award

GCU senior also takes Newcomer of the Week for 6th time
Grand Canyon senior Tyon Grant-Foster won WAC Player of the Week for the third time this season while also claiming his sixth WAC Newcomer of the Week award.
Grant Foster, who is from Kansas City, Kansas, averaged 25.0 points per game on 56% shooting from the field and 95% shooting from the free throw line in two GCU blowout home wins last week.
The 6-foot-7 guard took the WAC scoring lead at 19.4 points per game, which ranks 42nd nationally, with one Lopes regular-season game remaining to play Saturday night at California Baptist. He made 14 of 14 free throws while scoring 29 points, one off his career high, in the Saturday win to increase his season free throw total to 169, which ranks 15th nationally.
In helping GCU (26-4, 16-3 WAC) stay in first place in the conference race, Grant-Foster also averaged 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 blocks in the two WAC wins against UT Rio Grande Valley and Stephen F. Austin.
