Kristin Fifield earned WAC Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively, after strong performances in California this weekend.Â
The Lopes improved to 20-5 with a 4-1 record at the Louisville Slugger Invitational.
Darwin made three appearances in the circle, with a start against Yale and a win against Princeton. In 7 2/3 innings, she posted a 0.91 ERA with two strikeouts while only allowing four hits and two runs.
Meanwhile, Fifield swung for a .471 batting average and /824 slugging percentage while tallying eight runs, four RBIs and eight hits, including two doubles and two triples.Â
GCU continues the season with a Tuesday matchup at Arizona State at 6 p.m. (Phoenix time).Â
