Grand Canyon kept its dominant hold atop the conference with performances from senior
Tyon Grant-Foster that earned his second WAC Player of the Week award.

Grant-Foster, a 6-foot-7 guard from Kansas City, Kansas, helped the Lopes to their 12th and 13th consecutive victories a nation-best record of 16-1 by averaging 20.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocked shots last week. He also shot 54% from the field, 60% from 3-point range and 73% from the free throw line in the two victories.
Nationally, Grant-Foster ranks 14th in scoring at 20.6 points per game and is the only player in the nation averaging at least 20 points, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocked shots per game. He has scored in double digits in every game for the Lopes.
With Grant-Foster winning twice and teammate
Gabe McGlothan being selected three times, GCU has claimed five of this season's 10 WAC Player of the Week awards.
Grant-Foster, as a transfer from DePaul, also was selected for his fifth WAC Newcomer of the Week honor. The Lopes have claimed that award six of 10 times with sophomore center
Duke Brennan, an Arizona State transfer, earning the other one for GCU.
The Lopes are moving closer toward AP Top 25 status, drawing 49 voting points this week after getting 35 the previous week. GCU has received votes in both polls (AP and USA Today Coaches) for six consecutive weeks.
GCU's 13-game winning streak is the third longest active one in the nation.
After three weeks of conference play, GCU already holds a two-game lead in the WAC loss column entering a Thursday night home game against Utah Valley.
