Career-best seasons from Grand Canyon's
Ray Harrison and
Gabe McGlothan earned All-WAC honors for the dynamic duo with conference coaches voting Harrison to first team and McGlothan to second team.

Harrison, a 6-foot-4 guard from Greenville, South Carolina, was not a preseason second-team choice by the coaches but proved otherwise by being the conference scoring leader in WAC games at 21.1 points per game.
For the season, Harrison averaged a career-high 17.4 points and a team-best 3.3 assists per game while helping on the boards with 3.9 rebounds per game. He ranked 20th nationally with 153 free throws made by using his strength for drives and lane play.
"Ray has had a tremendous seasons for us," GCU head coach
Bryce Drew said. "He has a great ability to score the basketball and, with only being a sophomore, his best days in a GCU uniform are still coming."
Harrison holds the conference scoring high with his 38-point game against Utah Tech on Jan. 15, when he made 13 of 19 shots with 7-of-9 accuracy on 3-pointers.
Playing in all 31 games, Harrison improved his offensive efficiency from shooting 37.5% from the field and 28.1% on 3-pointers at Presbyterian to 43.4% and 31.3%, respectively, for GCU. He posted double-digit scoring in 21 consecutive games from Nov. 26 to Feb. 17 with the streak ended when he played 15 minutes in a nonconference replacement game. He ended the regular season by scoring 25 or more points in consecutive games for the first time in his career.

McGlothan, the junior from crosstown Basha High School, averaged a career-high 11.9 points per game and ranked second in the conference with a career-high 7.9 rebounds per game.
The 6-foot-7 power forward also played all 31 games, shooting 50.4% from the field and 32.2% on 3-pointers. His scoring improved to 12.8 points per game in WAC play with 77.4% free throw shooting.
"It has been enjoyable to see the progression of Gabe the last few years," Drew said. "He has spent a lot of time in the gym, developing his game and improving. I am happy that his commitment is being recognized."
McGlothan set the conference season high for rebounding when he grabbed 18 boards against Northern Iowa on Nov. 22 in Kansas City.
Harrison and McGlothan also rank among the nation's top 100 for scoring and rebounding, respectively.
GCU has placed at least two players on All-WAC teams in every season since 2015-16 and boasted a first-teamer for three consecutive seasons (
Jovan Blacksher Jr. in 2021-22 and Alessandro Lever and Asbjorn Midtgaard in 2020-21). Blacksher was this season's Preseason WAC Player of the Year but underwent season-ending knee surgery in early January.
Harrison was GCU's first player to lead the WAC in scoring in conference games since Braun did it with 18.8 points per game in 2015-16.
GCU finished the regular season at 20-11 and open the WAC Tournament against UT Arlington (11-20) on Tuesday at 3 p.m. (Phoenix time) in Las Vegas' Michelob Ultra Arena.
