Lopes take 5-0 wins over Waves, Sun Devils

Grand Canyon beach volleyball etched its seventh and eighth sweeps of the season against No.18 Pepperdine and Arizona State on Saturday at GCU Beach Volleyball Stadium.

The seventh-ranked Lopes won each match in straight sets against the Waves before repeating a sweep against the Sun Devils. GCU has won five consecutive dual matches against ASU with the last two meetings ending in Lopes sweeps.

GCU (12-4) will be back in action on Friday and Saturday at TCU's Fight in the Fort with No.14 Florida International, No.11 California, Texas and No.1 TCU.
