Santa Strombacha won their fourth WAC Doubles Players of the Week honor this season while graduate student
Madeline Lamoreaux also was chosen as WAC Singles Player of the Week.

Lamoreaux extended her winning streak to three matches last week from the No. 5 position. The Mesa, Ariz. native defeated Baylor's Paula Baranano 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 at the GCU Tennis Facility on March 4. Lamoreaux now owns a 6-4 record in singles and a 5-2 mark at court five.Â

In doubles, Strombacha teamed up with Puehse to clinch the doubles point against the Bears. The No. 1 GCU doubles pair defeated Baylor's Baranano and Daniella Dimitrov 6-4 to clinch the point. The top GCU pair have now won six matches in a row to lead the team with a 6-2 record. The Lopes have won the doubles point in five straight matches.

The Lopes will be back in action on Saturday against Air Force at 2 p.m. and on Monday against New Mexico at 1 p.m. at the GCU Tennis Facility.
