Grand Canyon junior forward
Gabe McGlothan was named the WAC Player of the Week after back-to-back 20-point performances.
"I think Gabe, these last two games, I think they're the two best games of his career," Lopes head coach
Bryce Drew said. "I love the pace he's playing at, I love the aggressiveness, I love how focused he is out there. These are the two best games he's had in a GCU uniform."
The Gilbert, Arizona, native matched his career high with 27 points against UT Rio Grande Valley on Wednesday night. He was an efficient 12 of 18 from the field and also pulled down 11 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season.
McGlothan's 27 points were his most in a GCU uniform and matched his career best that he set on Feb. 7, 2019, playing for Southeast Missouri State against Tennessee Tech.
Two nights later in a nationally televised game against Abilene Christian, McGlothan scored 20 points on an even more efficient shooting outing (7 of 8). Playing all but four minutes, McGlothan also added eight more rebounds to his ledger.

The Lopes return to the floor to wrap the home schedule against Seattle U on Friday night.
