The Grand Canyon women's soccer team will host UT Rio Grande Valley and Stephen F. Austin in the final two home matches of the season.

Both matches will be streamed live on ESPN+.

LOOKING FOR A WIN: With a pair of 1-1 draws against Utah Tech and California Baptist in the last two matches, the Lopes are looking to get back in the win column against UT Rio Grande Valley and Stephen F. Austin. The Lopes are 1-0-1 in the last two matches against the Vaqueros and 1-0 against the Lumberjacks all-time.
WAC STANDINGS: Heading into the home stretch of the regular season, every point counts in the conference standings. The Lopes are fourth in the WAC entering this week with eight points, one behind California Baptist for third. The top two teams earn a first-round bye in the WAC Tournament later this month at California Baptist.
HONORING SENIORS: On Sunday, the Lopes will honor nine seniors in the final home match of the year. Among those players that will be honored are forwards Gianna Gourley, Bekah Valdez and Lindsey Prokop, along with midfielder Jaycee Iranshad.

SCOUTING

UT Rio Grande Valley won its first conference match of the season at Abilene Christian but has gone just 0-4-1 since then. The Vaqueros still have an outside chance of the WAC Tournament, thanks to a four-way tie with four points in the conference standings. Currently, Abilene Christian holds the final WAC Tournament spot with six points. Linnea Eld leads the team in scoring with six points off two goals and assists while four goalies have combined for a 1.79 goals against average.

Stephen F. Austin picked up its first WAC win of the season last week with a 2-1 win over Southern Utah at home. The Lumberjacks have struggled to score this year with just seven goals in 15 games. Jamye Bailey leads the team with four goals and nine points while Ava Shannon has three assists. Lydia Sattler has been the primary goalkeeper with a 3.44 goals against average in 11 starts.

WHAT'S NEXT?

GCU will return to GCU Stadium to take on California Baptist on Oct. 7.
