Puehse, Strombacha earn first WAC weekly award
The Grand Canyon women's tennis team picked up their first WAC weekly honor as senior Natasha Puehse and junior Santa Strombacha were named WAC Doubles Players of the Week.

The No. 1 GCU doubles pair picked up a win against Northern Arizona over the weekend. Puehse and Strombacha, a First Team All-WAC duo last season, defeated NAU's Elinor Beazley and Laura Duhl 6-3.

It was the first win for the GCU duo this season and they are coming off a 13-3 record together last season at the top doubles position.

The Lopes will be back in action next week at the GCU Tennis Facility when they face UC Riverside at 2:30 p.m.
