Lopes will celebrate seniors in home finale

Pivotal WAC matchup welcomes California Baptist
Grand Canyon men's and women's swimming and diving will have the final home meet of the year Saturday against California Baptist.
The Lopes will hope to take down their WAC competition as they will also be recognizing the teams' seniors for Senior Day.
The team includes eight seniors. Griffin McKean, Omar Elsayd, A.J. Sheppard, Abigail Erickson and Kaitlyn Carr. Adrian Curbelo, Emma Sofie Augustsson and Emily Muteti are all graduate students.
The teams agreed to wear tech suits to help practice for the postseason. As a result, the meet will have fast-paced races.
The meet is important for the men's team as the Lopes sit second in the WAC and CBU is third.
GCU men's swimming is competing for the first time since early December.
The meet will begin at 1 p.m. at Fr Edward A. Reese Aquatic Center in Phoenix.
