Kristin Fifield earned her first WAC Hitter of the Week award this season after posting a .667 batting average over the weekend against New Mexico State.

Fifield went 6 for 9 in the home sweep of the Aggies, raising her season average to .349. Her series 1.889 slugging percentage included three home runs in those nine at bats, giving her a share of the WAC home runs lead with 13 this season.
Fifield collected nine RBI, five runs scored and also registered a stolen base. Fifield started her week with a 1-for-3 effort in the first game of the three-game series. The final two games were her most productive. In Game 2, she went 3 for 3 at the plate with a pair of home runs and four RBI before closing the weekend with a 2-for-3 performance in Game 3 with another four-RBI game and a home run.
